Helpful Tips & FAQ's

To ensure your dog's overall well-being in the time between grooming sessions, it's essential to keep them in good spirits. This can be achieved by taking them for walks, engaging them in playtime activities, and providing them with adequate nourishment. Additionally, frequently asked questions such as how often to groom your dog, what type of brush to use, and whether you can groom your dog at home may also be helpful. Remember, a happy dog is a healthy dog!

Helpful Tips

  • Brushing/Matting/Tangles -Tangled fur can be uncomfortable for dogs and can be challenging to remove. However, you can prevent matting and the stress of detangling by using a combination of a slicker brush and a comb. It's essential to use both tools and ensure that the comb glides through the fur effortlessly. By doing so, you can keep your dog comfortable and avoid the need for a shave.
  • Grooming conditioning - to get your do conditioned to grooming practice ribbing a metal spoon near their eyes so they can get use to the shine and feel, also practice attempting to hold their faces still for a few seconds at a time, rub the metal spoon against their paws as well and mess with them so they get used to their paws getting touched. If your dog has a long tail practice holding it up for a period of time as well as lifting it and them not sitting as soon as it is lifted. Something else we also recommend getting them use to a blow dryer

  • Bathing - We do recommend bathing your dog at least twice a month as dirt and dander can build up, your dog may need more depending on how dirty they get

FAQ's

  • When should my puppy come in to get groomed?

    • It is important first off that your puppy is up to date on all their vaccinations before coming in,   We recommend coming in two weeks after they are up to date on the vaccinations.  You can schedule a visit with us to come in and get used to all the noise and how certain things feel, ( do not worry we will not cut or clip anything on your dog). If you don't want to bring them in for a visit we can recommend things to practice at home

  • What if I cant pick up my dog or drop it off for its groom or I am running late?

    • We offer pickup and drop off services available price is charged per mile, if you are going to be late for pickup we can crate the dog or put in one of our waiting suites if you are running late for your appointment please call or text us

  • Can I stay and watch my dog get groomed?

    • We prefer not for the safety of us and your pooch, during the grooming process it can be stressful enough the way it is. We try to keep them as calm as possible during the whole process to ensure safety. Through our experience we have found that even getting a glimpse of seeing the owner or hearing their owners voice get them excited and then it takes us longer because they move around a lot more.

  • What Kind of payments do you accept?

    • At the end of your service you will receive an invoice. You can either pay on that invoice with card (credit or debit) or we take Apple Pay, PayPal, and Venmo

  • Do I need to bring anything for my dog during the groom?

    • We do ask that your dog comes on a leash with a properly fitting collar or harness. We know grooming or new places can make dogs nervous. We do try positive reinforcement through treats as well so if your dog has an allergy we ask that you disclose us and bring any special treats for them.
